He received his B.S. from the United States Naval Academy and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
Following graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Demiris served as a shipboard engineer on the USS Blakely. Achieving the rank of Lieutenant, Mr. Demiris was assigned as a Logistics Officer for NATO force operations in the North Atlantic Ocean with Combat Logistics Group 2.
Mr. Demiris is a Distinguished Past President of the East Meadow Kiwanis Club and is very active in the Kiwanis community.
He is also a member of the Admissions Department for the United States Naval Academy where he serves as a Blue & Gold Officer on Long Island.
Mr. Demiris is a Trustee of St. Paul Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hempstead, New York.
Mr. Demiris is admitted to practice in all Courts of the State of New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
